BLOODSHOT

This is a fantasy/drama film starring A-list actor Vin Diesel. Diesel plays the role of a Marine named Ray Garrison who early in the film is murdered along with his wife. Ray Garrison is then resurrected by a team of scientists who don’t have his best interest as a motive for bringing him back in anyway. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine and goes by the name of Bloodshot. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers he is introduced to by the doctor who is the mastermind behind bringing him back to life, he still can’t recall anything from his former life. Bloodshot isn’t aware he is being used a weapon to assassinate other men by the doctor who once helped him. In his mind his memories seem to be leading him on mission to kill the man that killed both him and his wife. He breaks out of the facility to get revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he thought and that the real enemy may be the ones he believes are friends. Overall I give this film a C+.  Vin Diesel is a great action star, but there doesn’t seem much more to go on outside of the action scenes. The writer didn’t put together a good enough story line to keep you at the edge of your seat during this film, simply too many dull moments. It’s still a film that is watchable for everyone over the age of 13 and one you can get a away with watching at anytime of the day.
